MAGNI 580
Fastener Coatings

Product Description

Magni 580 is a duplex fastener coating system that combines an electroplated zinc and chromate (or trivalent or non chrome passivation) substrate with a protective clearcoat. The electroplated zinc layer provides sacrificial protection of the steel substrate while the topcoat creates a durable barrier. Magni 580 is engineered with integrated friction modifiers to eliminate the need for sealers or post coating lubricants. This feature ensures repeatable torque/tension characteristics in assembly. Magni 580 provides superior product performance in fewer layers than comparable finishes. Fewer processing steps results in improved quality and reduced costs. Magni 580 is designed for use on fasteners such as nuts, bolts, and other miscellaneous hardware.

Magni 580 can be applied via dip/spin, dip/drain, or spray application methods.

Appearance

Clear (color of electroplated base layer is apparent); can be pigmented for color matching purposes
