MAGNI 511
High-Performance Fastener Coating Systems

Product Description

Magni 511 is a chrome free duplex fastener coating system that combines an inorganic zinc-rich basecoat with an organic topcoat. The basecoat provides sacrificial protection of the steel substrate while the topcoat creates a durable barrier. Magni 511 is engineered with integrated friction modifiers to eliminate the need for sealers or post coating lubricants. This feature ensures repeatable torque/tension characteristics in assembly. Magni 511 provides superior product performance in fewer layers than comparable finishes. Fewer processing steps results in improved quality and reduced costs. Magni 511 is designed for use on fasteners such as nuts, bolts, and other miscellaneous hardware.

Magni 511 can be applied via dip/spin, dip/drain, or spray application methods.

Key Advantages

  • Provides exceptional corrosion resistance
  • Completely chrome free coating system
  • Non electrolytically applied coating system does not induce hydrogen embrittlement
  • Provides exceptional galvanic corrosion resistance against aluminum and other metals
  • Consistent torque tension relationship without the need for post coating lubricants
  • Is a low cost alternative to cadmium, zinc alloys, and stainless steel
  • Resistant to automotive fuels and fluids
  • Recommended for external and internally threaded fasteners M6 and greater
  • Widely used on internally threaded products
